Was going to head across to the beach with my 6.7m and bigger board but at the last minute plumped for the 5.7m and Naish Hybrid Freewave. Guess what there wasn't enough wind for it. I had a few attempts but couldn't get going on the way out, did get going on the way back in but lost lots of ground downwind. I was just about to give up but decided to have one last go and this time I was OK. Not well powered, but up and planing so I decided to stay out and make the most of it. I'm glad I did as the wind filled in a little more and I was soon nicely powered and flying along.

A few nice one handed chop hops with tail grabs, but no other tricks really, just a nice blast in the sunshine. That board is lovely when powered up, but REALLY horrible when under-powered.

Still nice an warm out there in my holey summer suit.
